Utah's Leilani Mitchell scored 20 points in the second half to secure the win for the Utes. Her 24 points matched her season high.
Utah won its conference opener for the eight time in nine years as a member of the MWC.
Air Force senior Alicia Steele, who leads the team in scoring and rebounding, left the game with a minute remaining the first half after she re-aggravated an ankle injury from earlier in the season. She finished with six points and eight rebounds.

UNLV snapped a three-game losing streak with its win over CSU.
The Rebels have won six straight games vs. the Rams.
Colorado State had 10 players score at least one point in the game and used all 12 players available for the fourth time this season.
