Mountain West Announces Women's Basketball Player of the Week - Jan. 9, 2012 Boise State's Kati Isham earns first weekly honor of the season
Jan. 9, 2012 COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Boise State guard Kati Isham has earned Mountain West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors for games played from Jan. 2-8, 2012. It is the first weekly award for Isham this season. Isham, a 5-8 senior from Howe, Idaho, led the Broncos to a 56-53 road win at New Mexico State in Boise State's only game of the week. She scored a season-high 23 points while shooting 47.1 percent (8-17) from the floor, including 28.6 (2-7) from three-point range and a perfect five-for-five from the free throw line. Isham tied her career-high with six rebounds to go along with two assists, one block and one steal. Isham was instrumental in Boise State's comeback from 12 points down against the Aggies, scoring 17 of her 23 points in the second half. With the Broncos down five with five and a half minutes to play she rattled off six consecutive points to give Boise State its first lead of the game at 50-49 with 4:41 to go. During an NMSU rally attempt, Isham scored the final four points for the Broncos on a layup and two key free throws in the finals second to secure the victory.
