Final Stats

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Megan Darrah scored 14 of her 16 points in the first half Monday night to lead No. 11 Georgia to an 80-51 over TCU.

The victory avenged Georgia's one-point loss last season to TCU. The Lady Bulldogs (2-1) had dropped from seventh to 11th in the rankings despite a one-point win over Santa Clara on Friday, which followed an opening loss to defending national champion Baylor.

TCU (1-1) broke out to a four-point lead in the first minute, but the Lady Bulldogs quickly went ahead to stay. With Darrah making four 3-pointers, their lead reached as many as 18 points before halftime, when Georgia led 42-25.

The Bulldogs scored the first 15 points in the second half to extend their lead to 57-25. Sherrill Baker, who had six steals, scored eight of her 13 points during that stretch.

Alexis Kendrick led Georgia with 17 points. Tasha Humphrey, coming off a career-high 38-point performance against Santa Clara, had 15 points and seven rebounds. The Bulldogs held TCU to 33 percent shooting.

Natasha Lacy led TCU with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

The Lady Frogs' loss came in the first of five consecutive games against Top-25 opponents, culminating Dec. 6 with a home game against top-ranked Duke.
