FORT WORTH, Texas -- Robert Gallman and Craig Stopa from the TCU men's tennis team were honored as Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athletes on Monday. It marked the second year in a row that Gallman and Stopa received the praise.

In order to earn the accolade, a student-athlete must be a varsity letterwinner with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale) and have been enrolled at his present school for at least two semesters.

"It's a great honor for them," TCU coach Joey Rivé said. "Robert and Craig work very hard in the classroom. Doing this two years in a row is an awesome achievement. They're making people at TCU very proud."

In June, Gallman and Stopa were named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll (3.0 GPA or above) and received Commissioner's Academic Medals (3.75 GPA or above). Gallman and Stopa earned Academic Medals in 2003-04 as well.
