SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah men's tennis team has placed five on the 2003 Academic All-Mountain West Conference team. In order to be eligible, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution, hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor to the team.

Making the team were: Roeland Brateanu (Jr., 3.19, mass communication), Michael Bullard (So., 3.79, undeclared), Kaisorn Chaichana (Sr., 3.99, biology), Tomasz Grzyb (Fr., 3.57, economics), and Tyler Poulson (Sr., 3.84, economics).
