LAS VEGAS - Two UNLV men's players were included as part of the final 2004 edition of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association national rankings.

Despite the team (12-7) finishing just out of the rankings, the school claimed two ranked singles players at the end of a season for the first time in program history.

After pulling out of the NCAA Singles Championship because of a hand injury, Henner Nehles (16-7) dropped 13 spots to 86th while teammate Aviram Salomon (16-8) moved back into the 120-player list, standing 118th.

On a regional basis, the men's team was fifth in the Mountain Region with Nehles finishing fourth, Salomon 14th and Romain Massaro 18th. Also, the doubles team of Nehles and Joel Kielbowicz ranked 13th.
