Salt Lake City - Senior Roeland Brateanu was co-winner of the ITA/Arthur Ashe Jr. Award for Sportsmanship and Leadership announced by the ITA on Monday, May 17.

The 2004 team captain finished his senior season as the region's only men's tennis player to be honored. As an all region winner, Brateanu was also a candidate for the national award.

The ITA/Arthur Ashe Jr. Award for Sportsmanship and Leadership is awarded each year to players in each region who have exhibited outstanding sportsmanship and leadership, as well as, scholastic, extracurricular, and tennis achievements.
