New Outdoor Courts For Lobos

Construction on the new courts should be finished in early July

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The New Mexico men's and women's tennis teams welcome the new outdoor tennis courts being put in by DML, Inc. Construction began on the May 24th and should be completed by July. Here are the latest weekly updates on the progress of the new courts.

"Things are moving along and everything seems to be right on schedule," said women's head coach Kathy Kolankiewicz.

While the courts are usually resurfaced annually, it is the first time they have been fully replaced since they were originally built in the late 1970s.

"This is something we have been trying to do for years now," said men's head coach Alan Dils. "The (UNM) athletic administration has been very supportive in helping make this much needed renovation happen."
