LAS VEGAS - UNLV sophomore standout Elliot Wronski found out the identity of his first-ever NCAA opponent as the 64-player draw for the Division I Men's Tennis Singles Championship was announced on Tuesday.

Wronski, a native of Cheltenham, England, will face Auburn`s Alex Schweizer on Wednesday afternoon at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga.

Wronski is ranked No. 60 in the nation with a record of 19-12. Schweizer, out of Paderborn, Del., is No. 56 and holds a record of 12-12.

"We're excited to be here in this great atmosphere and look forward to the first day of singles competition," UNLV head coach Owen Hambrook said. "Alex Schweizer is a dangerous opponent from the Southeastern Conference but then again, everyone here is good. Elliot is ready to get going."

The winner of the match will advance to play in Thursday's second round vs. the winner of fourth-seeded Kevin Anderson of Illinois vs. Dejan Cvetkovic of USC.

All-time, seven Rebels have competed at the final event of the college season with some spectacular results. Luke Smith went to two tournaments and, as a senior in 1997, rolled through the field to win the school's first tennis national championship. He then teamed with Tim Blenkiron a few hours later to win the doubles title as well.

Overall, UNLV men boast a 12-10 record all-time in singles play. Below is the complete list of Rebels and their records at the NCAA Singles Championship.
