April 25, 2002

Three Air Force Academy men's tennis players were named to the 2002 All-Mountain West Conference team at the MWC Men's Tennis Championships in Las Vegas, Nev. Junior Eric Pittman was one of 12 players honored for singles play, while seniors Chris and Greg Zielinski earned one of the six doubles selections. All three players are repeat selections from a year ago.

Pittman, who played the entire 2001-02 season at No. 1 singles for Air Force, has a 16-15 overall singles record, and a 13-9 mark in dual matches entering the MWC Championships which begin Thursday, April 25. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native has 58 career singles victories as a Falcon.

The Zielinski's, twins from Ocean City, Md., have an 11-13 overall doubles record, including an 11-10 mark at the No. 1 position. They produced a six-match winning streak midway through the season, and Chris Zielinski was named MWC player of the week on Mar. 13. Greg (61) and Chris (60) are No. 7 and 8, respectively, on AFA's career list for doubles victories.
