COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Utah teammates Zach Ganger and Miron Mann have been named the Mountain West Conference Men's Tennis Co-Players of the Week, while UNLV's Elena Gantcheva collects MWC Women's Tennis Player of the Week accolades. This marks the third career honor for Ganger and the first for Mann, while Gantcheva picks up her MWC-leading eighth weekly women's award.

Ganger and Mann each posted combined 6-0 marks in singles and doubles action while leading Utah to a 2-1 mark last week, including an upset of 54th-ranked San Diego State. Ganger, a senior from Jacksonville, Fla., swept his singles matches at the No. 1 slot, defeating New Mexico's Johnny Parkes (6-3, 2-6, 6-3), SDSU's Bartosz Golas (7-6(6), 6-2) and Air Force's Brett Rodgers (6-1, 6-1). Mann, a senior from Toronto, Ontario, upset UNM's 41st-ranked Max Jones (6-4, 2-6, 6-4) at the No. 2 position to open the week. He then defeated Air Force's Austin Francis (6-3, 6-1) at No. 2 singles before ousting SDSU's Juan Gomez (3-6, 7-6(2), 6-1) at the No. 3 slot. Ganger and Mann teamed up at No. 1 doubles to beat UNM's Jones/Kamil Pajkowski (8-6), SDSU's Golas/Gomez (8-1) and Air Force's Rodgers/Taylor Soster (8-1).

Gantcheva, ranked 35th nationally in singles and 48th in doubles, rolled to a combined 6-0 record at the No. 1 slot while helping No. 58 UNLV to a 2-1 mark last week, including a 7-0 shutout of No. 55 New Mexico. The senior raised her final home career singles record to 58-14, downing TCU's 63rd-ranked Nina Munch-Soegaard (6-1, 3-6, 6-3), UNM's 123rd-ranked Ola Abou-Zekry (1-6, 6-3, 6-2) and San Diego State's Holly Bagshaw (6-2, 6-0). Teaming with partner Kristina Nedeltcheva at No. 1 doubles, the Sofia, Bulgaria, native remained perfect vs. MWC opponents in five outings this spring, collecting victories over TCU's 12th-ranked Macall Harkins/Anna Sydorska (8-4), UNM's Mackenzie White/Jennifer Ryba (8-6) and SDSU's Kathryn Kitts/Ellie Krausova (8-2). Overall, Gantcheva improved to 24-10 this season in singles and 18-8 in doubles.
