COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - In adherence to the Mountain West Conference Sportsmanship Policy, University of New Mexico freshman tennis player, David Kowalski, has received a public reprimand from commissioner Craig Thompson.

Kowalski is being reprimanded for actions that occurred during a March 14th match at the University of Hawaii. Kowalski served a one-match suspension vs. Air Force April 7th, which was imposed by University of New Mexico athletic administrators.

"The Mountain West Conference recognizes and supports the action taken by the University of New Mexico in regard to the misconduct displayed," said commissioner Craig Thompson. "With code of conduct and good sportsmanship being points of emphasis in our league, behavior to the contrary will not be permitted."
