COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - New Mexico junior Divan Coetzee has been named Mountain West Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week. This is the second player of the week award of his career.

Coetzee recorded a 2-0 record in singles and a 1-1 record in doubles on the week, helping No. 53 New Mexico to victories over conference opponents UNLV and No. 34 San Diego State. In the Lobos 6-1 win over the Rebels, Coetzee beat Henner Nehles at No. 1 singles, 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7). He also teamed with David Kowalski to shutout Milos Blagojevic and Ryan Barber at No. 3 doubles, 8-0. With UNM's match with the 34th-ranked Aztecs tied at three apiece, Coetzee downed Ryan Redondo at No. 2 singles (4-6, 6-2, 6-3) to give the Lobos the 4-3 upset win. The victory over SDSU pushed the Lobos to the top of the MWC standings. Coetzee is now 28-8 overall (12-2 dual) on the season in singles competition and is currently riding a seven match win streak.
