PROVO, Utah - The No. 69 BYU men's tennis team (3-12, 0-0) begins its conference play this weekend in Las Vegas against UNLV on Friday and San Diego State on Saturday respectively.

"We are confident going into these matches," head coach Brad Pearce. "We had two huge wins over Cal Berkeley and UC Santa Barbara last week on the road. That gave our guys a lot of confidence."

The Cougars face UNLV at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. The Rebels went 2-1 at the Boise State Invitational in Idaho last weekend. Riding a two-game winning streak, the Rebels will be poised to add three more this weekend as they host Utah, BYU and San Diego State.

Saturday's match against San Diego State begins at Noon. The Aztecs squeaked past Santa Clara in a 4-3 victory on Saturday at home. The Aztecs are currently ranked No. 64 in the country and hold a 7-4 record.
