COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San Diego State senior Felix Hardt and BYU senior Barbora Zahnova were named Mountain West Conference Men's and Women's Tennis Players of the Week, respectively.

Hardt, from Allensbach, Germany, tallied two individual victories and a doubles win last week as the Aztecs posted a 2-0 team record. Ranked No. 63 in the country and competing at the No. 1 spot for SDSU, he opened the weekend with a 6-4, 6-0 victory over Ryan Murphy of Yale. Hardt also teamed with Daniel Jung to beat Murphy and Brandon Wai at No. 1 doubles (8-6), helping San Diego State to a 5-2 win. He then carried the Aztecs to a victory over No. 59 Middle Tennessee State combining with Jung to upset the 28th-ranked doubles tandem of Brandon Allan and Kai Schledorn, 9-8 (5). In singles competition, Hardt broke a three-all tie with his three-set win over Andreas Siljesrtrom, giving SDSU the 4-3 win

Zahnova led the 21st-ranked Cougars to a come from behind upset win over No. 13 Clemson last week, beating top-10 opponents in both singles and doubles play. She started the match teaming with Sofia Holden to defeat the No. 7 ranked duo of Julie Coin and Maria Brito, 8-6, and followed with a 6-7, 7-6, 6-0 upset of the 6th-ranked Coin at No. 1 singles. With the victory, the Cougars moved to the No. 14 spot in the team rankings, while Zahnova moved up to No. 32 on the singles chart.
