COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Air Force's Brett Rodgers and UNLV's Kristina Nedeltcheva have been named the Mountain West Conference men's and women's Tennis Players of the Week, respectively.

Rodgers won all four of his matches as the Falcons defeated Montana, 5-2, and UMKC, 4-0, last week. The freshman from Midland, Texas, won the No. 2 singles match over Stuart Wong of Montana, 6-1, 6-3, and paired with freshman Mike Youn to beat Wong and Felipe Raw, 8-5, at No. 2 doubles. Later in the day, Rodgers downed Patrick Smith of UMKC at the No. 2 position, 6-1, 6-3, and won the No. 2 doubles match with Youn, 8-5.

Nedeltcheva posted a combined 5-1 record in singles and doubles play last week to help UNLV to victories over Furman, 5-2, No. 72 San Diego, 7-0, and Boston College, 6-1. The freshman from Sofia, Bulgaria, lost only one set at No. 2 singles, defeating Furman's Lauren Osborne (6-1, 6-4), USD's Helene Linstrand (6-2, 2-6, 6-1) and BC's Dasha Cherkasova (6-1, 6-1). Nedeltcheva also paired with junior Elena Gantcheva to win two of three matches at No. 1 doubles as the 26th-ranked duo defeated Furman's Laura Gioia and Natasa Manojlovic and USD's Sophia Vogt and Zoe Taylor.
