New Mexico sophomore Divan Coetzee has been named Mountain West Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week. This is his first career player of the week award. Coetzee went undefeated in singles play and also tallied a win in doubles competition last week as the 63rd-ranked Lobos went 2-0. The Springbok, South Africa, product, started the week by defeating Illinois State's Jason Smit 7-5, 6-4 at the No. 1 position. Against Arkansas-Little Rock, Coetzee, the No. 91 singles player in the nation, beat No. 49 Marianno Pettigrosso in straight sets (6-4, 6-0) at the No. 1 spot and teamed with David Kowalski to beat Juan Carlos Baca and Jarrad Bunt at the No. 3 position, 8-6.
