San Diego State senior Oliver Maiberger has been named Mountain West Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week. This is his ninth career weekly honor.

Maiberger, a Lorsch, Germany, native, and the 13th ranked player in the nation, posted a 2-1 record at No. 1 singles and teamed with Ryan Redondo (No. 6 duo in the nation) to go 2-1 in doubles competition for the Aztecs last week. In singles play, he defeated No. 32 Michael Kogan of Tulane in straight sets (7-5, 6-2) and Stanford's Ryan Haviland, also in straight sets, 7-6, 6-4. In doubles play, Maiberger and Redondo defeated Clemson's Micah Thompson and Jarmaine Jenkins, 8-2 and upset No. 7 Stanford's third ranked duo of Scott Lipsky and David Martin, 8-4. Maiberger is currently 13-5 in singles (4-1 dual) and, with Redondo, is 13-7 in doubles (3-2 dual) on the season.
