San Diego State junior Oliver Maiberger has been named Mountain West Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the second time this season.

At the USTA/ITA Team Indoor Championship, which featured the nation's elite teams and players, Maiberger brought home two individual victories and a doubles win. The German native defeated No. 4 Tennessee's Adam Carey in straight sets (6-4, 6-3) at the No. 1 position and teamed with Ryan Redondo to beat the Volunteers' Mark Dietrich and Jake Olsen, 8-4, in No. 1 doubles. The next day, Maiberger was instrumental in the Aztecs upset victory over eighth-ranked SMU, defeating Krystain Pfeiffer at the No. 1 spot, 6-4, 3-6, 6-4. Maiberger, the No. 11 singles player in the nation, is now 4-1 on the season and is 3-3 in doubles play with teammate Redondo.
