Bouras Rolls On

LAS VEGAS - Host UNLV saw top player Mehdi Bouras win twice on Friday to advance into the semifinals of the annual Rebel Classic men's tennis tournament at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

Bouras first downed David Flodberg of Northern Arizona 6-1, 6-2 and then got by Dmitry Lebedev of Arkansas 7-5, 6-0.

In doubles, Bouras and Luca Barlocchi had a first-round bye while Matthew Kunkiel and Attila Toth teamed up for an 8-6 victory over a duo from Northern Arizona.

Players from eight schools are on hand this weekend. Two rounds of doubles and one round of singles are scheduled for Saturday while the finals of both are set for Sunday.
