Season Closes Quietly Rebels go winless in conference play.

PROVO, Utah - The UNLV men's tennis team closed its season winless in conference play after falling to Utah 4-2 in the fifth-place match at the Mountain West Conference Championship on the campus of BYU Friday.
The Rebels finished the season 2-14 overall and 0-7 in league play while the Utes improved to 12-14 and 2-5.
Utah began the afternoon by winning both completed doubles matches for one team point.
In singles play, UNLV fought back by taking the top two matches. Henner Nehles defeated Daniel Lohff 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 and Aviram Salomon eased by Roeland Brateanu 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 for the Rebels' two points.
The Utes, however, won all three of the lower matches in straight sets to clinch the win. The match at No. 4 was then halted with UNLV leading.
