Men's Tennis Defeats Cal Poly 5-2 Aztecs win six in a row

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The No. 58 San Diego State men's tennis team (12-9, 5-0 MWC) defeated Cal Poly, 5-2, Saturday afternoon to win its sixth-straight match.
The Aztecs earned the momentum early by winning the doubles point, 2-1. SDSU has won the doubles point in its last nine outings. The No. 1 doubles duo of senior Adam Webster and sophomore Oliver Maiberger defeated Brandon Fallon and Erin Carroll of Cal Poly, 8-2. Junior Travis Hasson and sophomore Valentino Pest of SDSU defeated John Cappello and Brian Kent of Cal Poly, 8-5, at the No. 2 doubles position.
SDSU claimed the victory by winning four of six singles matches. Maiberger extended his winning streak to 16 by defeating Fallon, 7-6, 6-1.
The Aztecs continue action Sunday, April 15, at UC Santa Barbara at 12:00 p.m.
