MWC Men's Golfer of the Month for November San Diego State's Aaron Goldberg earns honor for second straight month.
Nov. 17, 2006 COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San Diego State junior Aaron Goldberg has been selected the Mountain West Conference Men's Golfer of the Month for November. Goldberg, an Encinitas, Calif., native, battled tough conditions to finish alone in fourth place out of 88 golfers at the Hawai'i Fall Intercollegiate in Kaneohe, Hawai'i on Nov. 6-8. Goldberg's individual performance also led the Aztecs to a fourth place team finish among the 15 schools competing in the tournament. Goldberg's 2-under-par 214 (72-70-72) put him as one of only six golfers who finished the 54-hole event under-par at the 6,528-yard, par 72 Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course. The Hawai'i Fall Intercollegiate marked Goldberg's fourth top-five individual finish in the five tournaments the Aztecs have played in this season. On the season, Goldberg has carded 11 rounds under par, and is currently third in the MWC with a 70.00 stroke average.
