MWC Men's Golfer Of The Month For November San Diego State's Andrew Scott and UNLV's Seung-su Han share this month's honor.
Nov. 15, 2005 COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San Diego State senior Andrew Scott and UNLV freshman Seung-su Han have been named co-Mountain West Conference Men's Golfers of the Month for November. It marks the first time in their careers that either player has received the monthly award. Scott and Han finished in a four-way tie for first place with a 2-under 214 at the University of Hawaii Fall Intercollegiate in Kaneohe, Hawaii, Nov. 7-9. However, both players lost in a four-hole playoff to New Mexico State's Robert Goff, who claimed medalist honors.
Scott, a Henderson, Nev., native, set a season-best 54-hole score as he carded rounds of 72, 69 and 73 en route to his 214 total. This season, Scott has seen action in five tournaments and has a 72.93 stroke average to rank third on the team and 14th in the MWC. He has two top-10 finishes this fall, including a sixth-place finish at the Fresno State Lexus Golf Classic and his first-place showing at the Hawaii Fall Intercollegiate. Meanwhile, Han, a native of Incheon, South Korea, recorded his first top-10 finish of his career as he finished with rounds of 68, 75 and 71 for his 214 total. His first-round 68 was his season-low round to date. This fall, Han appeared in four events, recording three top-20 showings, including his first-place finish in Hawaii. He holds a 73.33 stroke average to rank tied for 19th in the MWC.
