Mountain West Conference Has 12 Men's Golfers Named 2010 Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars
July 8, 2010 COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West Conference had 12 men's golfers named Division I Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars Thursday by the Golf Coaches Association of America. The 12 MWC student-athletes are among 119 Division I golfers to receive the honor.To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status on the Division I level, an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least two full years at the collegiate level, participate in 70-percent of their team's competitive rounds, or compete in the NCAA Championships and have a stroke-average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university. Tom Whitney of the Air Force Academy, Robbie Fillmore and Brady Johnson of BYU, Bryce Hanstad of Colorado State, Nick Geyer of New Mexico and Brett Kanda of UNLV have all been named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars for the second year in a row.
