BOULDER, Colo. – Colorado State’s Zahkai Brown won the Public Links tournament title Sunday with a come-from-behind win against teammate Riley Arp at the Flatiron Golf Course.

Brown shot 66-68-68 through three rounds for a total of 202, beating Arp by only one stroke on the last three holes.

"This feels great," Brown said. "I told my dad on No. 16 that I was going to play aggressive and make a charge. I was real excited when it happened.”

Colorado State men’s golf Head Coach Jamie Bermel believes this is a very good win for Brown.

“I am certain Brown and Riley had a dogfight out there and it was great to see a strong showing for Colorado State,” Bermel said. “Zahkai has been working very hard on his game and playing very well so far this summer. His hard work is really starting to pay off.”
