LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's golf team had two players listed as the Golf Coaches Association of America announced the 2006 PING All-America Teams on Thursday.

UNLV senior Andres Gonzales was selected to the third team, while sophomore Jarred Texter was named honorable mention for All-America honors. The first, second and third teams each had 10 members, while 32 golfers were named honorable mention.

UNLV has now had a player earn All-America recognition in each of the last 18 years.

Gonzales, ranked 36th in the nation by Golfweek, led UNLV this season in scoring average with 72.08 strokes per round and finished with 23 rounds at par or better with 15 rounds under par. He recorded his best finish of the year when he won individual medalist honors at the William H. Tucker Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. in September and totaled three top-five finishes.

Texter, ranked 64th in the country, was second on the team in scoring average at 72.47, recording 21 rounds at par or better, also with 15 rounds under par. His best finishes were a second-place showing at the Tucker Invitational and a tie for second place at the NCAA East Regional. Texter had three top-10 finishes on the season.

UNLV finished the year ranked 10th in the country by Golfweek. The team competed in 12 tournaments in 2005-06 and won two team titles (William H.
