SALT LAKE CITY -- University of Utah sophomore Dustin Pimm will open play at the NCAA Men's Golf Championship Wednesday afternoon in Sunriver, Ore. The event begins Wednesday and runs through Saturday at the Crosswater Club at the Sunriver Resort.

Pimm qualified for the national championship meet after finishing tied for fifth at the NCAA West Region Championship May 18-20 in Tucson, Ariz.

Pimm has experience at the Crosswater Club this season. He competed at the course during the 2006 MWC Men's Golf Championships, finishing tied for sixth overall with a two-over, three-round total of 218.
