UNM Heads to NCAA Tournament Event to he held May 29-June 1 at The Ohio State University.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The University of New Mexico men's golf team begins play in
the 2002 NCAA Championships on Wednesday, May 29, in Columbus, Ohio. The
four-day tournament runs through Saturday, June 1, and will be played at
the Scarlet Course hosted by The Ohio State University. The field is
comprised of 30 teams and six individuals. The Lobos, ranked 23rd in the
Golfweek poll, qualified for the NCAA Championships by winning the West
Regional May 16-18 in Albuquerque. UNM is back in the NCAA Championships
for the first time since 2000 and the second time in four years, after
qualifying nine straight years from 1990-98.
