Tucson, Ariz. - Colorado State junior Derrick Whiting fired a final round, two-under 70 to place tied for 46th in the 2006 NCAA West Regional at the OMNI Tucson National Golf Club Saturday.

Whiting shot a pair of even par 72s in the first two rounds putting him in 57th after Friday's play before moving up 11 spots on the final day of the 141-player field.

Host school Arizona and top-seeded Florida split the team honors each shooting 827s (-37). Florida's Billy Horschel and Nevada's Casey Watabu shared individual honrs at 13-under 203.

The top 10 teams from each regional will advance to the NCAA Championship.
