This Week
Utah senior Garrett Clegg will compete in the NCAA West Regionals, May 20-22 at the Crosswater Course in Sunriver, Ore. Clegg will tee off at 2:12 p.m. (PT) on Thursday with two other individual qualifiers. The three are the final group of the day.

Live scoring will be available for viewing at www.GolfStat.com.

Looking Ahead
The NCAA Championships will be conducted June 1-4 at Cascades Golf Course, The Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia. Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University is the host institution for this year's championships. There will be ten teams and two individuals advancing from each regional to the championships finals.

Recapping The Season
Over the course of the season, Clegg piled up a victory at the Wolf Pack Invitational with a score of 205 (69-68-68) and second place finishes at the Countrywide Intercollegiate (69-74-69-212) and the Braveheart Classic (74-77-72-223). He also finished third at the Falcon Invitational to start the season. After wrapping up the league championships with a seven-over-par 223, he was named to the all-Mountain West Conference team. It was the second year in a row the Bountiful, Utah, native received the honor.

The Course
The Crosswater Course (Par 72/7,270), located in Sunriver, Ore., is situated on 600 magnificently scenic acres of woodlands and carefully preserved wetlands. Crosswater is threaded by the gently flowing Deschutes and Little Deschutes Rivers. The course, which was honored by Golf Digest as one of "America's 100 Greatest Courses," 1999-2000, was designed by award-winning architect Bob Cupp.

The Mountain West Conference Golf Championships has been held at Crosswater for the past four years. Clegg participated in the MWC Championships both last year and this year.

Quoting Head Coach Wayne Fisher
"We expect good things from Garrett in the regional tournament. The Mountain West Championships have been held at this course the last four years, and this will be the third time Garrett has played there. He should know the course well and have an excellent chance to advance to the NCAA finals."
