CSU Men's Golf Selected to Play in NCAA West Regional The Rams earned the 18th seed in the tournament field of 27.
May 9, 2005 FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The Colorado State men's golf team earned its 10th straight invitation to compete in the NCAA West Regional Tournament in Palo Alto, Calif., May 19-21. The Rams earned the 18th seed in the tournament field of 27. The Rams, who are ranked No. 64 in the latest /Golfweek/Sagarin/ index, will be one of 81 teams in this year's championships. Three regional tournaments will be conducted to determine the national championships field. CSU is one of 27 teams competing in the West Regional, which is being hosted by Stanford University (Stanford Golf Course), in Palo Alto, Calif. The Rams are ranked 18^th out of the tournament field of 27. The top 10 teams in each division advance to the NCAA Championships, which will be held June 1-4 in Baltimore, Md., at the Caves Valley Golf Course. The Rams are one of five Mountain West teams to advance to the regional field and will play in the West Regional along with UNLV, New Mexico, BYU and San Diego State.
