SUNRIVER, Ore. - The Mountain West Conference announced its all-conference team and individual awards at the conclusion of its men's golf championship today at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Ore. MWC individual champion Michael Letzig (New Mexico) claimed Player of the Year honor, BYU's Dainiel Summerhays was named Freshman of the Year, while Glen Millican claimed Coach of the Year accolades.

Letzig was named MWC Freshman of the Year following the 2000 season. This year he claimed six Top 10 finishes, including two titles. Summerhays posted three Top 5 finishes during his freshman campaign. In his second year as head coach of the New Mexico program, Millican captures his first Coach of the Year award.

BYU, Colorado State, San Diego State and UNLV each placed two players on the All-Conference squad. Letzig, Martin Laird and Mark Warman are the only two-time selections. The All-Conference team and individual award winners were selected in a vote of the eight conference head coaches.
