Palm Desert, Calif. - The All-Mountain West Conference team was announced at the 2000 Mountain West Conference Men's Golf Championship in Palm Desert, Calif., at the PGA West Nicklaus Tournament Course. Jeremy Anderson of UNLV was named the Mtn. West Conference Golfer of the Year by a vote of the eight head coaches. The six-member All-Conference team includes Andy Miller (BYU), Jeremy Anderson (UNLV), Nigel Spence (Colorado State), Manuel Merazalde (BYU), Scott Piercy (San Diego State) and Michael Kirk (UNLV).

BYU's Bruce Brockbank is the Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year, earning coach-of-the-year honors for a second straight season. New Mexico's Michael Letzig is the freshman of the year. Letzig finished seventh overall at the Mtn. West Conference Championship, shooting under par each of the final two rounds.
