April 16, 2004

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Both the Colorado State men's golf program and the women's basketball program signed one student-athlete to a National Letter of Intent today. Men's golf Head Coach Jamie Bermel announced the addition of Praneeth Perera, while women's basketball Head Coach Chris Denker announced the signing of Elizabeth Kramer.

Perera will join the Rams in the fall of 2004 from Carrollton, Texas and Hebron High School.

"I'm very happy to have Perera joining Colorado State," stated Bermel. "Praneeth will fit well into our program and has a chance to contribute right away with the graduation of our three seniors."

Kramer will also enroll at CSU for the first time in the fall of 2004 after spending her freshman season at Cloud County Community College in Kansas. She is a graduate of Maize High School in Maize, Kansas. "We're very excited to be adding the quality of player we are in Liz,"

Denker said. "She is everything we are looking for -- a great student and a tireless worker who loves to work on improving her game outside of practice. She will fit very well with what we like to do offensively and, due to her work ethic and attitude, Liz plays extremely hard on the defensive end on every play."

The signing period continues until May 1 for both men's and women's basketball and until August 1 for all the other sports except football.
