Air Force sophomore Ben Leetsma is the McLeodUSA Mountain West Conference Men's Golfer of the Week after leading the Falcons to a 3rd-place finish (14 teams) at the the CU-Stevinson Ranch Invitational March 27-28 in Turlock, Calif. Leetsma, from Houston, Texas, captured his fifth consecutive top-10 finish placing tied for second with a three-round total of 218 (74-70-74), just one stroke behind the leader. Leetsma has led Air Force in seven of 10 tournaments this season and is cur-rently ranked 19th in the conference with a stroke average of 74.
