Colorado State's Laird Named Mountain West Conference Men's Golfer of the Week

Freshman garners honor after finishing second at the Oregon Duck Invitational.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Martin Laird was named the Mountain West Conference Men's Golfer of the Week after posting a career-best second-place finish out of 92 golfers at the Oregon Duck Invitational in Eugene, Ore., Mar. 26-27. He shot a season-low 68 in the second round en route to a 214 total (73-68-72), helping the Rams to an eighth-place team finish. Laird ranks 29th on the Mountain West Conference leader board with a 75.2 average this season.
