SAN DIEGO - The Colorado State men's golf team shot a 273 on the first day of the Barona Collegiate Cup to lead the tournament.

Three Rams are tied for third place. Martin Laird, John Hayes and Kevin McAlpine all shot first rounds of 68.

Nolan Martin is tied for 12th with a 69 and James Kurtenbach rounds out the Ram lineup with a 79.

Chris Cousins from UAB leads the tournament with a 65.

Colorado State returns to the course tomorrow at 8:00 a.m.
