Colorado State Wins Ron Moore Invitational Martin claims individual title.

BRIGHTON, Colo. - Colorado State senior Nolan Martin won the Ron Moore Invitational after firing a final round of 69 at the Riverdale Dunes golf course in Brighton, Colo. All five Rams finished in the top-20 for the tournament, including Martin who shot an overall 204 (12-under-par), setting the school record for lowest individual tournament score for three rounds. Martin's second round total of 66 ties for the second lowest individual round in the Colorado State record books. Senior Martin Laird shot a final round 72 to finish in third place overall with a score of 209, 7-under-par. Three other Rams finished in a tie for 19th with a score of 220, 4-over-par. Those Rams included junior John Hayes, sophomore Nate Pettitt and sophomore Kevin McAlpine. As a team, Colorado State finished with a total of 850, 10 strokes ahead of second place finisher Campbell University. Senior James Kurtenbach and freshman Aaron Weston each competed as individuals in the tournament. Kurtenbach shot a final round 74 to finish at 227 and Weston posted a final round score of 78 to finish with a total of 234.
The Rams will be in competition next in the Club Glove Invitational in
Somis, Calif. October 5-7.
