TEMPE, Ariz. - University of Utah golfer Dustin Pimm is five-under par through the first two rounds of the NCAA West Regional Men's Golf Championship. Pimm carded a three-under-par score of 69 in Friday's second round at Arizona State's Karsten Golf Course.

Pimm opened on fire, picking up birdies on two of his first three holes. He bogeyed the fourth, but picked up birdies on the fifth and ninth holes to make the turn at three-under. The back nine wasn't as kind to Pimm, as he bogeyed a par-five and a par-three. He did birdie a pair of par-five holes on the back nine to play the back nine at even par.

Pimm is currently tied for 30th place. He is tied for second among student-athletes not on a full team. The top 10 teams and top two individuals not on one of those teams, qualify for the NCAA Championships.

Pimm will play his third and final round of the NCAA West Regional Championship Saturday.
