SUNRIVER, Ore. - Sunny skies were the order of the day for the second round of the Mountain West Conference 2002 Men's Golf Championship on the Crosswater Course (Par 72/7,188) at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Ore. First-round leader UNLV shot a 289 today and takes a two-stroke lead over New Mexico and Air Force into Wednesday's final round. Three shots back is BYU at 580. Utah (590), San Diego State (590), Colorado State (592) and Wyoming (593) round out the field.

Individually, first-round leader Mark Warman (San Diego State) shot an even par 72 for a two-day total of 140 and leads by two strokes over Martin Laird (Colorado State). Three players are three shots back at 143. The day's low round was turned in by Air Force senior Matt Sakowitz with a three-under par 69. The third and final round begins at 9 a.m. (PDT) Wednesday.
