Laird Finishes Sixth, Rams Ninth Rams will resume play on April 25 at the BYU Cougar Classic.

LAREDO, Texas - The Colorado State men's golf team wrapped up play at the Border Olympics in ninth place behind a strong performance from junior Martin Laird who finished in a tie for sixth place. The Rams shot a final-round score of 295 to finish with a total of 876, dropping three spots from a sixth place finish after the first day of competition. Martin Laird finished moved up two spots from the first day, shooting rounds of 75, 66, and 72 to give him a total of 213 (-3) for the tournament. Junior Brett Tobyne shot a final-round of 73 to finish in a tie for 28th with a score of 219 (+3). Junior Nolan Martin finished in a tie for 45th shooting a three-round total of 221 (+5). Also competing for Colorado State were sophomore John Hayes and senior Tommy Sharp who finished in ties for 65th and 81st, respectively. Hayes shot rounds of 75, 74, and 76 to finish nine over par for the tournament. Sharp finished with a total of 229 (+13).
The Rams will resume play on April 25 at the BYU Cougar Classic in Provo, Utah.
