Only four MWC teams were in action on the final weekend of regular-season play, as TCU reached the 10-win mark for the fifth time in seven seasons with a 38-14 triumph over Air Force, while San Diego State avoided the first 10-loss campaign in school history with a 17-6 victory over Colorado State.

In Fort Worth, the Horned Frogs scored on all four of their first-half possessions to take a 24-0 lead en route to their seventh consecutive win. The loss capped off a third straight losing campaign for the Falcons. In San Diego, the Aztecs won despite having just nine first downs and 235 total yards of offense, while the Rams managed just two field goals en route to their seventh consecutive loss.
