By Steve Carp LAS VEGAS - Normally, a coach would worry about his team regressing from its first game to its second to begin the season. Not Charlie Spoonhour. The notion of slippage isn't entering the UNLV coach's mind as the Rebels play host to Alabama-Birmingham at 7:30 tonight at the Thomas & Mack Center. Spoonhour said he isn't worried because UAB plays such a frenetic style that regardless of tonight's outcome, it won't be a true barometer of UNLV's progress from Sunday's 69-54 win over Portland State. "They're a unique team," Spoonhour said of the 2-0 Blazers, who pressure the ball and trap all over the court.
