COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Curtis Brown (BYU), Justin Leuttgerodt (BYU) and Garrett Palmer (San Diego State) are Mountain West Conference Players of the Week. Brown earns Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Leuttgerodt is the Defensive selection and Palmer collects Special Teams recognition. Brown captures his third career weekly award, while Palmer collects his second. Leuttgerodt is a first time honoree.

OFFENSE: CURTIS BROWN, BYU, JUNIOR, RUNNING BACK
Brown rushed for 153 yards on 25 carries (6.1 yards per carry) and had two touchdowns in BYU's 35-21 win at Wyoming. He also had two receptions for 24 yards. Brown tied a BYU record with his 10th 100-yard performance and is only the second Cougar running back to accomplish the feat during his junior season.

DEFENSE: JUSTIN LEUTTGERODT, BYU, SENIOR, LINEBACKER
Leuttgerodt was credited with four of BYU's five turnovers, including three fumble recoveries and a late, game-clinching interception to lead the Cougars to a 35-21 victory over Wyoming. He totaled seven tackles (4 solo) in the game, including one tackle for a loss of 11 yards. Leuttgerodt had one turnover in each quarter, with BYU converting his three fumble recoveries into 21 points. His third fumble recovery came at the Cougar 6-yard line with 1:59 remaining in the third quarter when Wyoming was threatening to tie the score at 28 apiece. Leuttgerodt's interception came on the Cowboys final drive, which sealed the BYU victory.

SPECIAL TEAMS: GARRETT PALMER, SAN DIEGO STATE, SOPHOMORE, PLACE KICKER
Palmer converted three field-goals (22, 47 and 48 yards) and three extra point attempts in windy conditions as San Diego State defeated Colorado State, 30-10 in Fort Collins. Two of field goals came from 45-plus yards in the second quarter, including a season-best 48-yarder.
