Nov. 12, 2003

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Three Colorado State University football players were named to the Academic All-District 7 football team announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Center Mark Dreyer and linebackers Eric Pauly and Drew Wood were all named to the team and will automatically appear on the Academic All-American ballot later this month.

Dreyer is a 6-foot, 4-inch, 275-pound senior from Brighton, Colo., who has a 3.46 grade point average and is majoring in Marketing. He is a three-year starter who has been a mainstay in Colorado State's offensive line again in 2003 despite a hand injury earlier in the season that required surgery and forced him to snap left-handed for five games.

Pauly has a double major in Computer Information Systems and Business Administration, with a 3.74 grade point average. He is 6-foot, 3-inch, 233-pound senior from Conway Springs, Kan., who led the team in tackles in 2001 and '02, and was the Mountain West Conference's tackling leader as a sophomore. He earned first-team all-league honors in both of those respective seasons. Pauly was the MWC's top tackler until suffering a knee injury which ended his CSU career in a game against Utah Sept. 27.

Wood, a 6-foot, 235-pound senior from Buena Vista, Colo. Wood leads the Rams in tackles with 64. Wood has a 3.46 grade point average and is majoring in Psychology. Six times in 10 games to date, he has had 7 or more tackles in a game including a season-most 10 in the Rams' 30-20 win over Air Force.

Pauly and Wood were first-team all-district a year ago and Dreyer was a second-team selection. Pauly was named first-team Academic All-American and Wood earned second-team honors.
