Twenty-Four Mountain West Conference Student-Athletes Named To CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams
MWC fall sports totaled 18 all-District selections in football, and three each in volleyball and women's soccer.

Twenty-four Mountain West Conference student-athletes were named to CoSIDA Academic All-District teams, including 11 first-team selections.
Wyoming led the way with seven honorees, followed by Colorado State with four and Air Force, BYU and Utah with three each. New Mexico had two selections, while San Diego State and league newcomer TCU had one apiece. By sport, the MWC had 17 honorees in the sport of football, three in women's soccer and three in volleyball. The 18 Academic All-District selections in football this season is the second-most in league history. In 2002, 24 MWC football student-athletes received academic all-District honors.
The 11 first-team selections will move on to the national ballot for All-America consideration. To be nominated for CoSIDA Academic All-District consideration, a student-athlete must have achieved a minimum cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20, must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games and must be a significant contributor to the team.
