COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Justin Holland (Colorado State), Eugene Oates (Utah), and Joey Rucks (Colorado State) are Mountain West Conference Players of the Week. Holland is the Offensive Player of the Week, while Oates takes the Defensive honor, and Rucks receives Special Teams recognition. All three players are first time honorees.

OFFENSE: JUSTIN HOLLAND, COLORADO STATE, SENIOR, QUARTERBACK
Holland completed 20-of-37 passes for a career-most 419 yards and four touchdowns in Colorado State's 39-31 victory over Wyoming. The four touchdown passes were a career-high for Holland, while the 419 passing yards rank as the third-highest figure in school history.

Eugene Oates


DEFENSE: EUGENE OATES, UTAH, SENIOR, DEFENSIVE BACK
Oates recorded a career-high 10 tackles, all unassisted, in Utah's 42-32 victory at UNLV. He also recorded two tackles for loss, including a seven-yard sack.

SPECIAL TEAMS: JOEY RUCKS, COLORADO STATE, SOPHOMORE, DEFENSIVE BACK

Joey Rucks


Rucks had four special teams tackles, three unassisted, and recovered a fumble in Colorado State's victory over Wyoming. During the first drive of the fourth quarter, Colorado State was forced to punt. Wyoming's Hoost Marsh returned the Ram punt 49 yards to the CSU 25-yard line when Matt Bartz forced a fumble that was recovered by Rucks at the 18. The following play, Ram QB Justin Holland connected with WR David Anderson for an 82-yard touchdown strike to give CSU a 33-24 lead.
