Co-Offensive Players of the Week
ANDY DALTON, TCU
Junior, Quarterback, Katy, Texas/Katy HS
Andy Dalton guided TCU to a 14-10 victory at Clemson, marking the Horned Frogs' second road win in
three weeks against an ACC opponent. The junior quarterback finished with 312 yards of total offense,
completing 17-of-26 passes for 226 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions while adding a
team-best 86 yards rushing on a career-high 19 attempts. The Katy, Texas, native was 8-of-10 through
the air in the second half, including the game-winning, fourth-quarter 25-yard TD pass to wide receiver
Antoine Hicks.
AUSTYN CARTA-SAMUELS, WYOMING
Freshman, Quarterback, San Jose, Calif./Bellarmine College Prep
True freshman quarterback Austyn Carta-Samuels led Wyoming to a 30-27 victory over UNLV in the first
college start of his career, guiding the Cowboys on scoring drives of 57, 80, 73, 80 and 26 yards. The
San Jose, Calif., native completed 24-of-37 pass attempts (64.9 percent) for 234 yards and three
touchdowns with no interceptions. He also rushed for 34 yards for 268 yards of total offense. Carta-
Samuels' nine-play, 80-yard drive midway through the fourth quarter tied the game at 27-27. With
Wyoming facing a second-down and nine on the UNLV 15, Carta-Samuels was forced to scramble from
the pocket before hitting wide receiver Travis Burkhalter in the corner of the end zone to tie the game.
The freshman would later lead the Cowboys on a drive in which he completed 4-of-5 passes for 32 yards,
setting up Wyoming's 28-yard, game-winning field goal.

Reggie Rembert recorded a team-high seven tackles (five solo stops), a career-best two interceptions, a
fumble recovery and a forced fumble in Air Force's 26-14 win over San Diego State. Midway through
the first quarter, the junior defensive back from Flower Mound, Texas, recovered a fumble and returned
it 47 yards for his first career touchdown to put the Falcons up 7-0. Rembert had a hand in four of the
Falcons' six forced turnovers in the game, leading to 13 of Air Force's 26 points.
Special Teams Players of the Week
IAN WATTS, WYOMING
Freshman, Placekicker, Philadelphia, Pa./Radnor HS
True freshman placekicker Ian Watts successfully made all three of his field goal attempts from 29, 22
and 28 yards, including his final kick that provided the margin of victory in Wyoming's 30-27 home win
over UNLV. Never having attempted a field goal as a collegian, the walk-on gave Wyoming a 3-0 lead
with a 29-yard field goal in the first quarter. He added a second field goal in the second quarter to pull
the Cowboys to within one point at 7-6. With Wyoming on the UNLV 11-yard line and a little over four
minutes remaining in the game, Watts connected on a 28-yarder to put the Pokes ahead to stay at 30-
27. The Philadelphia, Pa., native was also a perfect 3-of-3 in point-after attempts to score 12 of
Wyoming's 30 points on the day.

week's slate, hosting in-state rival Utah State on Fri., Oct. 2 (The Mtn., 7 p.m. MT). New Mexico and Air
Force will open action on Sat., Oct. 3, as the Lobos travel to Big 12 foe Texas Tech (FSN, 2:30 p.m. CT),

Rebels look to take back the Fremont Cannon from Nevada (1 p.m. PT), the Aztecs welcome New Mexico
State (5 p.m. PT), and the Rams head to Idaho (ESPNU, 7:30 p.m. PT). To round out the week's action,
Wyoming makes its first-ever trip to Florida Atlantic (4 p.m. ET), while TCU entertains SMU (The Mtn., 7
p.m. CT). Utah is idle this week before opening its MWC schedule at Colorado State in Week 6.
TWO MWC TEAMS RANKED IN TOP 25 POLLS

straight week holding an opponent under 100 yards in the air. UNM only allowed 73 passing yards
to Air Force on Sept. 19.
TCU enters Saturday's contest vs. SMU with an 8-1 record against teams from the state of Texas in
the last three years.
San Diego State limited Air Force to 12 first downs on Saturday, the fewest allowed by an Aztec
defense since holding UTEP to 12 first downs on Aug. 31, 2006.
Of the 26 touchdowns scored by MWC teams last week, 15 were passing touchdowns.
With Saturday's victory over San Diego State, Air Force has won 11 straight MWC season openers.

UNLV. Carta-Samuels completed 24-of-37 passes for 234 yards and threw three touchdowns. He became
the first true freshman to start for the Cowboys since Rick Costello in 1974. Carta-Samuels is also the

threw for three TDs in a 38-7 home win over Utah State.
ASIATA OUT, WIDE STEPS IN
Utah senior RB Matt Asiata will be out for the year due to a knee injury after scoring a 24-yard touchdown
in the first quarter against Louisville last Saturday. Asiata currently leads the MWC with 330 rushing
yards on the year. Junior RB Eddie Wide replaced Asiata and ran for a career-high 129 yards on 19
