Pete Thomas (Colorado State), Jon Davis (Air Force) and Jeremy Kerley (TCU) are the Mountain West Conference Players of the Week for games through Sept. 25. Thomas earns the Offensive Player of the Week honor, while Davis garners the Defensive Player award and Kerley receives Special Teams recognition. This marks the third career player of the week honor for Kerley and the first weekly accolade for both Thomas and Davis.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

PETE THOMAS, COLORADO STATE
Freshman, Quarterback, El Cajon, Calif./Vahalla HS
True freshman quarterback Pete Thomas led Colorado State to a 36-34 victory over Idaho, guiding the Rams on scoring drives of 78, 33, 61, 80, 38, 64 and 66 yards. The El Cajon, Calif., native completed 29-of-37 pass attempts (78.3 percent) for 386 yards and three touchdowns, both of which are career highs for the signal caller. Thomas led Colorado State on a 12-play, 66-yard drive over the final 2:38 of regulation, setting up Ben DeLine's 35-yard game-winning field goal as time expired. The victory snapped the Rams 12-game losing streak.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

JON DAVIS, AIR FORCE
Junior, Safety, Cincinnati, Ohio/Winton Woods HS
Jon Davis recorded a team-high six tackles (five solo stops), one tackle for loss (-6 yards), an interception and a fumble recovery in Air Force's 20-14 win at Wyoming. With the Cowboys driving deep into Falcon territory on their opening possession of the game, Davis picked off quarterback Austyn Carta-Samuels' pass in the end zone. Later, with 3:41 remaining in the fourth quarter, Davis recovered a Wyoming fumble, allowing Air Force to run out the clock and preserve a six-point road victory.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

JEREMY KERLEY, TCU
Senior, Punt Returner/Kick Returner, Hutto, Texas/Hutto HS
Jeremy Kerley returned five kickoffs for 172 yards, including a career-long 83-yard scamper, to help TCU improve to 4-0 with a 41-24 victory over cross-town rival SMU. Kerley, who tallied a career-high 234 all-purpose yards against the Mustangs, averaged 34.4 yards per kickoff return. After SMU took a 17-14 lead moments into the third quarter, the Hutto, Texas, native returned the ensuing kickoff 83 yards, setting up the Horned Frogs' go-ahead score three plays later. Kerley also notched two punt returns for 23 yards (11.5 avg.), finishing the contest with 195 total return yards.
